What to Expect
My office is located in downtown Greenfield, MA right above the Peoples Pint at 28 Federal Street, Suite 2 on the 2nd Floor. It is accessible only by stairs. The door is operated by intercom lock: call up to Suite 2 and I will buzz you in!

If it is your first appointment, plan to arrive 15 minutes early to complete necessary paperwork and to allow us time to discuss what is to be expected from your first massage. This extra time also allows us to determine a treatment plan for you without cutting into your treatment time.
Your treatments will be held in a private room with soft music and on a heated massage table. Lighting and temperature can be adjusted to match your level of comfort. I use an unscented, hypoallergenic, nut-free, vegan massage oil produced locally in Greenfield. I also have a variety of essential oils for use during massage if you would like.
Each massage experience is unique and can vary from session to session even in the same space with the same massage therapist. Here are a few things to be aware of:
Massage is traditionally performed with the client unclothed, but it is entirely up to you on what you want or do not want to wear during your treatments. I will tell you to undress to your level of comfort; this means you can undress completely, or leave on any articles you are more comfortable in.
- I will leave the room prior to you undressing, and you will lie under the sheet on the massage table before my re-entry. During the massage, you will be properly draped for your warmth, privacy, and comfort.
It is very likely that hair and/or make-up will be messed up during the massage; getting oil in your hair or smudging your make-up from being facedown will inevitably happen. If this is important to you, please let me know prior to the massage so I may do my best to accommodate. There is also a mirror in the treatment room you may utilize post-massage.
- If you have long hair, I suggest you bring a hair tie or clip to hold back your hair during the massage.
During the massage your only responsibility is to relax and be comfortable. You can be silent during the massage, or you may talk. It is even possible you may fall asleep!
- I may periodically lift or move one of your limbs, or reposition you slightly. Unless I provide you with a verbal instructions, you do not need to assist me.
- In some cases activating your muscles in a certain manner will help in your treatments. If this is the case, I will provide you verbal instructions on what to do and how we will accomplish this.
- Otherwise, rest, unwind, and relax. This time is for you.

When working with deep tissue, muscle soreness after the massage is to be expected.
- Drinking plenty of water after the massage will help rehydrate your muscles and flush any toxins released during the massage from your body.
- Stretching after the massage will also help reduce any muscle tenderness.
You may feel drowsy after your treatment. Please take the time you need in our waiting room to readjust and prepare yourself for your drive.
